The House Appropriations Committee recently approved a fiscal year 2018 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies spending bill that eliminates all funding for the Transportation Investment Generation Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant program. The TIGER program, created in 2009, provides transportation planners the flexibility needed to design transportation projects to fit the unique needs of communities they serve.
